Terms of Service
The working agreement between us. Written in plain English because a one-person bike repair business doesn't need six pages of legalese.

Quotes
Prices published on this site are current at the time of writing and are for labor unless stated otherwise. Parts are billed at cost plus 15% and quoted before anything is ordered. Any quote I give sight-unseen assumes the bike is as described; if I arrive and it isn’t, I’ll re-quote before starting and you’re free to decline.
Approvals
I don’t perform work you haven’t approved. If I find an additional problem, I stop, call you, and give you the finding and the price. You can approve it, decline it, or have me do only what you originally asked for.
Trip fees
Zone 1 has no trip fee. Zone 2 is $35 and Zone 3 is $65, each credited in full toward any service totaling more than $150. If you cancel after I’ve arrived, or the bike isn’t accessible when I get there, the trip fee for your zone applies.
Cancellations and no-shows
Cancel or reschedule any time before I’m on the way and there’s no charge — just text me. If I arrive and nobody’s there or the bike is locked away, the trip fee applies.
Payment
Due on completion. Card, Apple Pay, Venmo, Zelle or cash. No deposit for standard service. Special-order parts over $200 are paid upfront at cost; labor is billed on completion.
Access and workspace
You’ll need to give me access to the bike and roughly a parking-space-sized flat area to work in. The van carries its own power, air, light and water — I don’t need anything from your house. For gated communities, please add me at the gate in advance.
Customer-supplied parts
I’ll install parts you bought yourself and my labor warranty still covers my work. I won’t warranty the part, and I reserve the right to decline installing anything I consider unsafe — specifically including unlabeled battery packs, which can’t legally be sold in California under SB 1271 (Health and Safety Code §26302).
Bench work
Cell-level battery repair, wheel builds, and internal motor rebuilds happen off-site. If I take a part or a bike away, you get a written receipt describing it and an estimated return date. Items are returned within a reasonable time; anything left uncollected for more than 90 days after I notify you it’s ready may be disposed of under California law.
Safety refusals
If I find a bike unsafe to ride and you decline the repair, I’ll tell you plainly and note it on the invoice. I may decline to return a bike to service in a condition I consider genuinely dangerous — that’s not me being difficult, it’s me not wanting to be the last person who touched it.
Liability
I carry general liability insurance and I’m responsible for damage I cause. I’m not responsible for pre-existing damage, for failures of parts I didn’t supply or install, for problems arising from work someone else performed, or for a component failing because it was past its service life and you declined replacement. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited under California law.
Warranty
90 days on labor. Full terms on the warranty page.
